As promised, I’m back with the delicious Mother’s Day cocktail that I enjoyed a few weekends ago!
My husband loves all things grapefruit, but I often find them to be overly tart for my palette. So, when I saw that my mom had made grapefruit drinks, I was skeptical.
I ended up being pleasantly surprised with the acidity of this drink. I think that the pineapple juice cuts to tartness perfectly.
Here’s the scoop:
Grapefruit Fizz * makes 1
1 oz. pink grapefruit juice
1 oz. pineapple juice
4 oz. champagne
Step by Step:
You can make this drink individually with the measurements above or you can serve a crowd by filling a carafe with equal parts chilled grapefruit and pineapple juice and allow guests to mix their own cocktail. In your champagne flute or wine glass (which we used for Mother’s Day), fill your glass with 1/3 juice and 2/3 champagne. You just want a light fizz to complete this refreshing drink.
This cocktail would be a great addition to a brunch menu or a festive touch to a bridal shower.
Happy mixing! Give these a try this weekend!
