Easter has always been a favorite holiday of mine. I have enjoyed the soft and feminine pastel colors since I was a little girl. Plus, it was the first big holiday after the rush of Christmas (and following a dark and gloomy winter) to bring family back together.
I was thrilled to be able to share so many fun holiday traditions with my five year old this year. Here’s a little recap of our Easter weekend:
Saturday morning was lovely for egg hunting, even if it was a bit chilly in the shade. Some coats for the three of us made for a nice morning outside.
My mom throws the most beautiful parties and her brunch table was no exception. Creme brûlée french toast casserole and a hearty savory breakfast casserole were an amazing Easter feast on Sunday.
Dying eggs has always been a favorite for me. I loved making eggs this year with Gabriel, who even drew a self-portrait on one egg (see the orange egg).
Seriously, that face. So cute.
Three egg hunts, egg decorating, a lovely family brunch and one happy 5-year old.
